We have received below notification from HMRC that GVMS is experiencing technical difficulties.

If you have further questions, please contact Customs authorities directly.

"Dear Customer,

We are currently experiencing some technical difficulties with the Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).

We are aware that not all goods movements on route to border locations have been able to create a valid Goods Movement Reference.

Goods Movement References remain mandatory for freight movements using the Goods Vehicle Movement Service.

Please check with your carrier before embarking on your journey as you may be turned away without a valid Goods Movement Reference.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
